Proposal Configuration
Introduction
This guide walks you through how to configure proposal settings in FibreCRM. You’ll learn how to set default templates, email notifications, branding, and review processes, ensuring a streamlined and automated client experience.
Your Default Settings
Navigate to the Proposals module and select the Your Default Settings option.
In your Default Settings you can set options to be defaulted each time useful if you’re mainly using the same template, email template and portal brand each time.
From the drop downs you can set:
The default PDF template
Your default email template for proposals.
Your default proposal branding.
Click Save to apply these defaults.
Proposal Configuration
The Proposal Configuration option allows you to set multiple configurations when create and sending proposals.
Please note you will need to Click Save for each section after making changes.
PDF default font size and family.
The first options allows you to set default font and font size for your Proposal. Set PDF font size and family for the Proposal using the dropdowns.
Organisation/Account Email Address On/Off
If you’d like to send to an Organisation email address then toggle send to organisation on.
General Proposal Settings
In the General Proposal Settings you can choose default settings for all users including:
Default Sending email template
Accepted email template
Declined email template
Proposal Expiry Days
You can also exclude Lost and Deferred Opportunities line items in the proposal enable the toggle to include that feature.
Email Notification Templates
When the Draft Proposal Status is changed an email notification will be sent to the user related to the Proposal for that status and a Task created for them to review and complete. Use the Status Options to choose which Email Template will be used for each Status (e.g., Awaiting Partner Review, Accepted, Declined):
In the first column select the email template for that status to use in the dropdown.
Note: You’ll need to create email templates to be selected from if you haven’t done so already. For more information please see: Admin Guide – Creating and Editing Email Templates – FibreCRM Support Portal
Set the task due date (e.g., 1 day after creation).
In the Send To column select which assigned user will be receiving the notification.
Enable Send Proposal When Review Completed
You can Enable Send After Review Completed: which will prevent the sending of the proposal ability until a review has been completed by a Manager/Partner.
Awaiting Manager Review On/Off
Alongside Partner Reviews you can also enable Manager reviews.
Hide Proposal Title in Portal
Toggle this on to remove the Proposal name showing in the signing portal.
Include PDF as Attachment
Automatically attach proposal PDF to the email when the prospect receives the proposal request.
